What the record says
- Product
- JERR-DAN XLP CARRIER KIT - Recall 26E031000
- Reason
- Jerr-Dan Corporation (Jerr-Dan) is recalling certain XLP Carrier kits. The reverse and brake light assemblies may have been installed in the wrong location with the incorrect color or number of lights. As such, the carriers fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment." Inadequate rear lighting can reduce vehicle visibility or fail to alert other drivers when the vehicle is braking, turning, or reversing, increasing the risk of a crash.
