What the record says
- Product
- NOVA BUS RICON HIDDEN WINDOW FRAME - Recall 26E019000
- Reason
- Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain Ricon hidden frame windows sold through Prevost Parts and Prevost Service Center. Please refer to Nova Bus' attached document for specific part number information. Inadequate adhesion around the window frame may cause the glass to detach. As such, these windows fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release." The glass can fall out of the frame, increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash. Detached window glass can also become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
