What the record says
- Product
- MERCEDES-BENZ AMG EQE SUV 4MATIC (2025) - Recall 25V830000
- Reason
- Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2024-2025 AMG EQE SUV 4MATIC vehicles. The external pedestrian warning sound may not continuously increase in volume as vehicle speed increases, due to a software error. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid Electric Vehicles." Insufficient pedestrian warning sounds may fail to alert pedestrians of an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
