What the record says
- Product
- MOPAR STEERING COLUMN MODULE - Recall 24E025000
- Reason
- Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain MOPAR steering column control modules, used as replacement parts in certain 2017-2024 Jeep, Chrysler, and Ram vehicles. Please see the attached documents for specific part numbers and vehicle compatibility information. The steering column control module may not be welded properly, which can prevent the driver's air bag from deploying in a crash. As such, these control modules fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." An air bag that does not deploy in a crash can increase the risk of injury.
