What the record says
- Product
- WESTERN STAR 57X (2023) - Recall 23V348000
- Reason
- Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023 Western Star 57X vehicles. The interior turn signals may flash too quickly and not align with the exterior turn signal flashing. Interior turn signals that consistently flash too quickly may not change their flash rate to alert the driver to replace the bulbs. An exterior turn signal bulb that is burnt out will not illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." A nonfunctioning exterior turn signal may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
