As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." Structural failure may prevent the seat from properly restraining an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
