## What the record says

- **Product**: RICON R17740 (SEATBASE) - Recall 26E017000
- **Reason**: Ricon Corporation (Ricon) is recalling certain R1200 series 6-Way and 4-Way Power Transfer Seat Base (PTSB) motorized seat bases. The PTSB gear motor may fail to lock the seat in place when certain forces are applied. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems." A seat that moves may not properly restrain the occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- **Classification**: Not supplied
- **Recalling firm**: Ricon Corporation
- **Quantity**: 1820
- **Agency-reported status**: Published safety recall
- **Source record identifier**: 322838
