## What the record says

- **Product**: MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV (2023) - Recall 25V369000
- **Reason**: Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (Mitsubishi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Outlander and 2023-2025 Outlander PHEV vehicles. Due to a software error in the in-vehicle infotainment system (A-IVI), the rearview camera image may freeze, or not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility." A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- **Classification**: Not supplied
- **Recalling firm**: Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc.
- **Quantity**: 198940

## Lot and product identifiers

| Label field | Details supplied by the agency |

| Lot, code or applicability | Product applicability: MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV; model year 2023. Check the model identifiers and, for a vehicle, the VIN on the official recall site. |

Match all identifying details in the current notice. A brand name alone is not enough.

## Dates in the source

- **Report received**: Jun 2, 2025
- **Manufacturer start**: Sep 27, 2022
- **Owner notification**: Jun 30, 2025

## What to do next

Dealers will update the A-IVI software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 30, 2025. Mitsubishi's number for this recall is SR-25-001. This recall replaces and expands previous NHTSA recall number 23V345. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V345 will need to have the new remedy completed.
