As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Parking lights that fail to illuminate properly can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
