When installed in a vehicle, the HCU Module may falsely read pressure in the primary circuit and illuminate the brake lights, as well as allow the vehicle to start and shift out of park without first applying the brake pedal. Constant brake light illumination and unintentional vehicle movement can both increase the risk of a crash.
